“The significance of women entrepreneurs or women led businesses in the economic growth and development is unquestionable. The Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) also recognize the importance of empowering women and achieving gender equality. Today, women entrepreneurs are on the rise everywhere in Pakistan, but still more efforts are required at national and international levels to reduce gender gap in entrepreneurship and to realize their true potential in economic development. Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has always been instrumental in facilitating, subsidizing and promoting our Women Entrepreneur or women-led businesses through various initiatives such as training programmes, workshops, local and international exhibitions, trade fairs etc., to enable women entrepreneurs to contribute in enhancing trade revenues and overall growth of the country. Development of women entrepreneurs engaged in trade of goods and services through empowerment, engagement, education and exposure is one of the major goals of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).”
